OCCUPY AWARE

Obama speaks on U.S. support for defending protesters
and their rights outsdie of our country.

The dog was named Parrot.
This was taken moments before Parrot was murdered by ...the cop. The
cop drove his knee into the middle of Parrot's back while stretching
Parrot's forelegs behind him, as one would do with an armed criminal.
Without waiting to determine whether this technique would calm Parrot,
the cop grabbed Parrot, lifted him off the ground, and brought him to the
top of the concrete staircase.

He threw Parrot over the banister, down twelve steps, and onto the
concrete floor. Then, the cop stood at the top of the stairs, drew his
weapon, and executed Parrot. Aaron, the animal's owner, cannot recall
the number of shots fired. Witnesses state that Parrot was not harming
anybody and was simply frightened by the cop. At no time did Parrot try to
bite the officer, all he did was start barking.

It doesn't matter if you are a part of an Occupy movement, PETA,
Republican, Democrat, Independant Religious or not, if you are a part of
the human race this should be a wake up call that something is very
wrong with our society.

Isn't brutally killing animals something that most Serial Killers do right
before they switch to killing humans?

The police raid on Occupy Oakland last night has left one of the
demonstrators in serious condition with a fractured skull. He is
identified as two-time Iraq war vet Scott Olsen, 24, and he apparently
got hit with some kind of police projectile, maybe a tear gas canister,
reports the Oakland Tribune. Several people were hit by projectiles
and overcome with gas, including members of the media, notes the
Tribune.

"This poor guy was right behind me when he was hit in the head with
a police projectile," a photographer at the scene tells the Guardian.
"He went down hard and did not get up." A friend of Olsen's at the
hospital tells the newspaper, "I'm just absolutely devastated that
someone who did two tours of Iraq and came home safely is now
lying in a US hospital because of the domestic police force." A
YouTube video of last night's unrest shows protesters carrying an
injured man, apparently Olsen, from the scene.

Occupy Wall Street (OWS) is an ongoing series of demonstrations
in New York City based in Zuccotti Park in the Wall Street financial
district. The protests were initiated by the Canadian activist group
Adbusters. They are mainly protesting social and economic
inequality, corporate greed, corruption and influence over
government—particularly from the financial services sector—and
lobbyists. The protesters' slogan, "We are the 99%", refers to the
difference in wealth between the wealthiest 1% and the rest of the
population.

The original protest began on September 17, 2011, and by
October 9, similar demonstrations were either ongoing or had
been held in 70 major cities and over 600 communities in the U.S.
Internationally, other "Occupy" protests have modeled themselves
after Occupy Wall Street, in over 900 cities worldwide, and
growing.
